Which seats do we pay for — and who is free?
You pay for people who work the pipeline — intake, fee earners, managers, super users. Reception, billing-only cashiers and reporting-only partners are always free and never count against your tier.
What about consultants and locums?
Consultant seats are £29/mo each, unlimited, and sit outside the seat bands. They get their own matters, messages and intake form without pushing you up a tier.
What does the Guided go-live cover, and can I avoid the fee?
A named manager wires your phones and forms, imports your full Clio history, trains the team and supports you for 30 days. It’s £999 once — credited in full on annual billing.
What if my firm grows past my current tier’s seat count?
You move up a tier and the bill changes; every feature stays the same. Tiers only ever change how many paid seats you get.
What if I need just one more seat?
Any tier can stretch by exactly one extra full seat for £99/mo, added from Billing after signup — so being one hire over a band doesn’t force a whole tier jump.
Can I change between monthly and annual?
Yes. Annual is two months cheaper and credits the go-live fee; you can switch at renewal.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Clio stays the system of record — Kefilex reads it live and writes back only when you act. Disconnecting removes your session; cached data is retained 30 days then deleted, or immediately on request.
